Facilities & Rates
Our facility is available for use 12 months of the year. Ecologically sensitive building design makes this site blend seamlessly with the rolling hills and short vegetation of the surrounding grasslands.
Meeting Spaces
Facilities at the SGRC include a premier classroom/conference room for up to 100 visitors, two smaller meeting rooms for about 10 to 15, and a small catering kitchen.
Lodging
The SGRC has spaces useful to a broad range of visitors. Typical users are day-long to week-long workshops, conferences, retreats, and grassland researchers for longer stays. Others have been writers and groups of naturalists observing bird migrations, including rare and endangered species like mountain plover and burrowing owl.
Lodging for up to 30 overnight visitors is in three spacious houses, each sleeping 10 in double occupancy bedrooms. Each reservation includes a full kitchen, complete bed and bath linens, washer and dryer, common spaces for relaxation and/or smaller meetings, and a large porch with views of the grasslands.
The SGRC cannot provide food service, but caterers from Fort Collins, Greeley and Cheyenne serve the location.
Please note: Pets are not allowed at the site.
The site has access to high-speed internet and wireless connections.

External Users
- Classroom (may fit up to 100 people): Full Day $100 and Half-Day $50
- Board Room (may fit up to 10 people): Full Day $50 and Half-Day $25
- Multi-purpose Room (may fit up to 25 people): Full Day $75 and Half-Day $38
Rates include the use of the kitchenette for serving food or refreshments and meeting packages are available.
